So if Skipworth is listed as "falling" why does he move up 4 spots in this guy's rankings?

secondly, I moved him up more because of his potential and the fact I don't think our system is close to as deep as it usually is they also needed 1 word for him and without thinking thats what i said |

Why ahead of James?
Just curious and it seems BA loves James. |

I just don't like James that much and I didn't realize BA was high on him. First year I haven't purchased BA's book (atleast not yet).
I know Skip has sucked so far, but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt for now |

BA didn't even put Dominguez in Top 100. Morrison was in the 20s.

Fair enough. Must be some part of his game you dont like.
Or you are like me and am slightly angered that he was drafted as a signability pick and still held out long enough to get no time in the GCL. |

Even though it does annoy me that he was drafted as a signability pick, I wouldn't be biased in my rankings with them

I dont mind that he was drafted as signability so much as the fact that the signability pick still held out.
I am biased to a degree because Shelby Miller was still available(even though he was more expensive). |

I don't know why you would be upset they took one high schooler generally considered to be a top 20 pick over another high schooler generally considered to be a top 20 pick. I've always found your position on this really silly.
I mean, have you really studied either one of them extensively? So why are you so vehement? Breifly looking over some mock drafts, both James and Miller were projected anywhere from 15 (the highest) to 20 (The lowest), and yet you consider one to be a massive improvement over the other. It's fucking stupid. Last edited by Bobbob1313; 02-25-2010 at 05:35 PM. |

Your ranges are off a tad. Shelby Miller was generally regareded as a early to mid 1st round pick, James was considered more of a late 1st/sandwich round pick most mocks you looked at.

http://projectprospect.com/article/2...mlb-mock-draft
James 17- Miller 14 http://www.mymlbdraft.com/MLB-Mock-Draft-2009 James 20-Miller 18 http://www.sportingnews.com/blog/MLB...raft_1st_round James 25-Miller 11 So yeah, Miller might have been a slightly more highly regarded prospect, but I ask again have you seen either of them pitch? What is your opinion that Miller is this slam dunk that James isn't based on? They are prep school pitchers, nobody has any fucking clue what's going to happen with them. Miller signed for 1.15 million more than James. There's no world in which that's the right pick for us. Come on. |

just because he is considered a signability pick, doesnt mean Chad doesnt have the right to hold out for extra money.

So when you bring this up 45 times every season we'll know it's based on fucking nothing?

Because you are a silly person and you've never seen either of them pitch and yet you are goingto make it your mission to be obnoxious about them picking James over Miller.

btw, for those interested, I re-did my list from earlier for Marlin Maniac, and cleaned it up to include pictures and make it more coherent.
#1 Stanton #2 Dominguez #3 Morrison #4 Smolinski #5 Cousins #6 Gaby #7 Petersen And why they were left off: Ozuna Skipworth Galloway |

If you do a google search for Mike Stanton, my piece on him comes up on the first page.
/feels special won't last long, since once he's added to the 40 man, his player pages at yahoo/espn/ect will fill it up It's also cuz in actuality, they do that one thing where it's like "did you mean Mike Stanton Marlins." For that one, my piece comes up as the third option, so that's why it appears on the first page. In actuality, for just Mike Stanton, it's on the third page. but oh well Last edited by nny; 03-24-2010 at 05:30 PM. |
